a minication/babymoon in moab, utah

Let’s be real: Jonathan and I don’t have a lot of money. We both work our asses off but we basically live paycheck to paycheck with a small amount going into savings so we can afford our future child. Thankfully we’re pretty minimal people so it’s not impossible. However, this means we don’t get to travel much (even if the trip is free…because we can’t afford time off of work). But I knew it was important for us to take some sort of a trip together before the baby arrives early next Spring. Most of the traveling I prefer involves camping which is pretty freezing in the winter. So, when our friends said we could borrow their giant travel/camping van for a few weeks we decided it was the perfect opportunity for a minication/babymoon. Said friends just moved to Moab, Utah for work and are living in their travel trailer in a state park. So, to Moab we went for a 3 day weekend of camping, photo taking, campfires, and scary hikes that almost killed me…
